Andy came to work for me at Bailey Paints in 1998. He joined our small team as a delivery driver. He was always first into work, boots always polished. Never took a day off, drove every day, never complained. As a colleague once said to me “Andy is one of the good guys” and he was absolutely right. I could always rely on Andy and on a personal level we had a lot in common. We were much the same age, grew up watching the same TV programs - The Sweeney and Dukes of Hazzard, listening to the same sort of music (Thin Lizzy) and of course his lifelong love of motorcycles, - which was probably what got him the job ! I would love to have met him as a young man when he was part of ‘The Stroud Posse’ on his Kawasaki 250. He loved his work but above all he loved his family and I know how proud he was of his daughters. One of the Good Guys. His illness was terrible but he endured it with good grace. He will be much missed at Bailey’s and may he now rest in peace
